WHERE THE 10% DONATIONS WENT

As promised 10% of my sales from the 2011 holiday season on this web site would be donated to a Vermont Flood Relief charity of some sort. As the holidays came to a close I took time to explore the myriad of choices and decided to split the donation in half. Here's where the monies went:

The Preservation Trust of Vermont

Their mission is to help communities save and use historic places.
It seemed only appropriate since four of my holiday cards are of covered bridges.
I requested the donation be applied to post Irene covered bridge restoration.

The Vermont Community Foundation

This foundation has 4 funds designated for the Irene relief and recovery efforts. I chose the Vermont Farm Disaster Relief Fund. I'm told 2 grants have already been awarded to the local organic farm down the road from my location. In light of my subject material and my interest in gardening, I felt it was the most appropriate of their funds.

Thanks for your support!!! — Best, Mike
